Amusement Dance of Qing Palace

Song and Dance Troupe of Chengde City provides high standard art for tourists. Amusement Dance of Qing Palace is an ever lasting perfect work made by Song and Dance Troupe of Chengde City according to the customs of imperial palace of the Qing Dynasty and the dance history materials about palace music of the Qing Dynasty in Imperial Summer Resort. The performance was widely welcomed by the visitors from home and abroad when it was performed in the hotels and restart ants of Chengde in 1989. When it was performed in foreign countries, foreigners appreciated it deeply and called it "the fairy music from paradise". Besides that, the performance was awarded the honor able title of "the Best Performance" on the First National Culture Fair and has been put on stage for more than one thousand times, which rarely happens in China.

Years in the Imperial Summer Resort

In 1993, the Second Culture and Art Festival of Imperial Summer Resort and the Ceremony to Celebrate the 290 Anniversary of Foundation of Imperial Summer Resort were held on the ruins of East Palace in Imperial Summer Resort by the City Committee of Chengde and the City Government of Chengde on the opening ceremony the large-scale history song and dance performance produced by Chengde Culture Bureau was put on the stage, which was named Years in the Imperial Summer Resort. It showed a great picture of the history of Chengde far 290 years through five scenes: Wonders of Going North, Great Ceremony of Founding, Fairyland in the Palace, Picture of History, and Spring Coming Back, from which we can see the unique historical position and the bright future of Chengde City. It is an important milestone in the development of art in Chengde City.
