The
Rui Jin Guesthouse is a villa style hotel with
picturesque surroundings. All of the villas here,
5 in total, are designed in French style, some
harking back to the start of the 20th Century.
The main building is particularly nice with a
grand colonial vista.
The
hotel is situated in a park-like compound that
is also very peaceful, occupying seven hectares
filled with small bridges, ponds, pavilions and
marble fountains.
The
hotel is located in the former French Concession
of Shanghai within walking distance of the bustling
shopping mecca of Huaihai Road and the beauty
of Fuxing Park.
The
hotel is 15kms from Hongqiao International Airport
and 60kms from the Pudong International Airport
taking one hour and 15 minutes respectively. Shanghai's
most famous bar and night life area, Maoming Road,
is located just at the gate of the complex.
This
is a 4-star hotel with a total of 71 rooms from
standard guestrooms to deluxe and executive suites.
All rooms come equipped with IDD telephones, a
mini-bar, a private bath, satellite TV and central
air-conditioning. The hotel also provides business
facilities with a business center and various
conference rooms.
Other
features of this attractive hotel, beyond the
park and French Concession placement, is the variety
of restaurants here. There are two restaurants
in the hotel proper, one in building number 2
which serves Chinese cuisine, and the Yisilou
Banquet Hall in building number 3, that is mainly
used by the Chinese for wedding ceremonies and
banquets.
The
extra facilities in the Park are the ones that
shine though, the Hazara Indian Restaurant, Face
and the Lan Na Thai restaurant in building No.4
are all excellent choices.
